Re: How to Astral Travel ?

Posted over 12 years ago , by Ftisme

I can get to the vibrational state in like 5 minutes if I focus I've only reached vibrational 5 times the other 20 times I just lied in my bed in silence but when I reach vibrational I reach it fast, but normally don't reach it. My firsttim I tried it I was using an app called I-Doser (binaural beats) it had a astral projection one so I tried it (not knowing what astral was) I reaches vibrations In five minutes but it scared me so I stopped.

KellsBells, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

Hi.  I'm new here and I've been going through some posts.  I did post a few questions in the into area, but I'd like to explain what I would do to get a lucid feeling with the buzzing and whatnot.  I'm actually not sure if I was just in a lucid dream or?  When I begundoing this, I didn't really know anything about OBEs or astral projections so I don't actually know where I was?  Does that sound silly?  Anyways, here is what I would do.  I'll note that this worked the first time and every time, though I don't really know how it worked.

I had been aware of some meditation techniques, so I'd start by imagine myself breathing in a bright light of sorts, and breathing out...bad.  The I'd relax my muscles from the toes up.  This was always very important and if it didn't work the first time I'd have to go back and do it again.  I would lay down with a pillow over my eyes.  I would need the pillow...or pressure...so that I couldn't physically open my eyes.  My muscles would hopefully be relaxed.  Then I'd start to visualize a ball, right between my eyebrows.  There would be a pin prick of light coming out of the ball so that I had some perspective of it spinning.  Once I got this image pretty clearly, I would make a note the ringing in my ears.  I would imagine it spinning in correlation with the spinning ball.  The sound would go around from one ear to the other.  I believe that the ball had no meaning past allowing this noise to have some frame of reference to get this noise spinning.  I had to keep this ball in place and spinning in my mind to keep the noise spinning.  If I lost the ball, the noise would stop.  If I could keep this going for a few minutes with success, the noise would continue on all by itself and I wouldn't have to put the concentration into it anymore.  I didn't have need of the visualized ball now either.  I could just listen to this spinning noise for 10 or 20 seconds without anything else...and then it would just get loud and become central and I'd actually be able to see it like it was a static in front of me.  At this point I could either stop it and literally just sit up...or I could just sort of go through it and I'd be completely lucid.  I don't know if it was a lucid dream or something else.  Any thoughts?  Like I said, I didn't really know anything about lucid dreams or anything else when I started doing this.  I had read a little bit in a book that I'd found and it seemed interesting to try.  What was in the book and what worked for me were two different things.  Initially, I wasn't expecting the sound to start. I thought it was the visualization that would have an impact. What I read to do was imagine a ball, not a spinning ball...but I found I needed the motion to keep the visualization.  The noise was actually a bit of a surprise.  It happened the first time I tried, and so thereafter I would make a note to pay attention to it and try to do what I could to get it going.  Like I said, it seemed to me that it was the noise that was needed, and the visualization was just a way to get that noise going.  A spinning, ringing, buzzing type of noise.  It would start with the natural ringing in my ears, and then pick up a buzz to the point where the ringing would be gone and just the buzzing would remain.  It was a pretty quick process.  I'll mention that I needed the pressure over my eyelids because once I got all of my muscles relaxed, I would just sort of open my eyes.  I know they were closed, but I'd go through the motion of opening them anyways.  If my muscles were relaxed, I'd have a feeling of floating when I opened them.  If they weren't I'd have to go through relaxing them and start again.  I'd repeat this until when I pretended to open my eyes, I got the floating feeling.  I would literally feel like I was floating in my mind, a void, space...whatever you want to call it.  When I could keep that, that's when I would start the above visualization with the ball, then sound and the spinning and then the buzzing and static and then...Kelly has left the building.  Thoughts?  What exactly is this?  I have had distinct differences in my experiences, same start but different endings.  I'd go through and be floating.  I'd go through and be sitting there watching the TV that is on in the room.  I'd go through and have total control of my surroundings...changing where I am, flying, etc.  I would put them into two types of experiences, but I wouldn't know how to categorize them as I really don't know what I'm doing.  Sorry this is so long.  I guess I just want to get it all in there in case anyone else has had similar experiences?

You are your world.  You are your world participating in the ether.
You know, they are trying to figure out what 'dark matter' is.
I say it is the ether of the Universe, the Multiverse, all the verses.
When you 'astral travel,' it is you traveling through the ether.
You can say 'planes of existence' or you can say 'levels' or 'floors.'
But it is you in the ether.
What is this ether?
That is a hard thing to describe.
When anybody astral travels, it is like they are in a gelatinous state.
That is even harder to describe.
But the gelatinous state is being in the ether.

Alfa, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

Hello friends
I have been trying to astral project for about 2 weeks, every time with different sensations and of course my main problem is how to sepatare physical and astral bodies. I also read in the Cooper's book that OBE and Astral projection are different things, the latter being more advanced form and that there is no need for actual separation but just switching your consciousness the higher level. So I'm a little bit confused about these two.
As to my actual sensations buring projecting attempts - sometimes I feel that the whirlwind starts taking me in the air, my eyeballs begin REM like frantic movement,  dramatically heartbeat increase, some kind of vibration taking over my whole body and i get a feeling that i'm on the verge of leaving my physical body but soon after that the whole sensation fades away. I always start with meditation and relaxation, but the problem is that the feeling I described above comes swiftly in a couple of minutes and I guess I'm not relaxed enough to keep on.. Of course I dont give up and I'm more than determined to reach my goal, stay focused and Im reading  as much on this topic as my free time allowes me but I woud appreciate very much some valuable help and important tips from more experienced travellers :) thanks in advance and may peace be with you all :)

Hi Alfa :)

I think you can try some movement free Exit-Methods.

Astral projection exit methods

The feel of whirlwind, the REM, everything that you experience is called vibrations :)
So enjoy it :)

click here to know the difference between Astral Projection and OBE.

Please comment on it :)

Hello Antony
thanks for your reply :)
I will definitely try these techniques, I remember using rope and roll out techniques but it didn't yield any results yet.

Alfa, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

hey friends
wanna share my progress so far and ask for some help..
seems like I have succeeded in getting into vibration stage much quicker than before - first i totally relax my body to the point of complete numbness (including mouth "novocaine effect") and at that point i cant even feel that my body is touching the bed surface, after that strong vibrations take over - feeling like someone is spinning me around my axis ( resembles pilot 9G training :) ), first i was getting anxious at that stage, but later i managed to preserve calmness and indifference, like nothing unusual is happening. these vibrations last for about 10 minutes as far as i can judge in the terms if time, because i'm trying to keep my mind free of any thoughts. But after that vibs fade away  though im attempting various exit methods including rope, roll out, and my own - like merry-go-round technique bur still no good.. i'm not able to leave my body.. maybe you can recommend something if any of you were having the similar difficulties :) will appreciate your help very much :)
