Smoking/alcohol before Astral Projection

Yes, it will lower your vibrational frequency, which will either hinder you from projecting or if you still manage to project you'll be vulnerable to attacks and might see some unpleasant/scary things.

Ideally you shouldn't smoke and drink in the long run as well , but if it's too difficult for you try to make it occasional.

Also, if you're going to project, I recommend to not smoke and drink for at least 3 days prior the attempt. That will give you sometime to raise your vibrations.

SP methods

Well I'll be damned! I know what you're talking about.

I hate swallowing reflex, used to have all the time, but now decreased. I also get jerking a lot. I don't really know how to stop it though.

But if I were you I'd not give it much thought, it's something we'll never know when it will happen, furthermore, it's a good sign that your body is getting ready for projection.

My only advice would be: try to keep your position once this happens, like it was no big deal and just continue with your projection.

It's just your body testing you.

Thanks for the awesome response, I will surely watch those movies over the weekend. I watched Insidious already, It's a great horror movie, but still many things that old lady says is misguiding. (except, "you no need to be scared, as you the one who is alive")

What to do when in sleep paralysis?

Sorry it took me long to reply, for some reason I was unable to post the answer from my cellphone, maybe it's a bug or something. I suppose you're talking about this :

The “Open Mouth” Exit Initiator

The first method is the ‘open mouth exit’ and it was discovered by a forum poster named tsunaH. In sleep paralysis 99% of the time even if everything below your neck is paralyzed you can still move your eyes and mouth. To do this method simply open your mouth and take a few slow deep breaths. Be sure not to breathe too hard or you’ll break the paralysis. By doing this you’ll feel yourself start to separate starting at your head. This method is a very reliable way to get the exit process kick started. It’s actually more of an ‘exit initiator’ than a full exit method because a lot of times it will get you half way out...(continued)

Did i astral project?

Ohh someone the same age as me ()

I agree with Praveen, usually people report that places change, it could be either a slight to drastic change. It varies from one person to another. I also heard places you like will be more colorful and kind of prettified, and places you don't like will be uglier. Someone mentioned here in this forum, if I'm not mistaken.

The way you described could be projection, to make sure, if next time you think about your friend and still doesn't work, "go on foot" to see him, it could be good idea to try during the day so he's awake doing something and later you can tell him what you saw and confirm if you got out.

I'm really envious of you, I still haven't been able to project. I won't give up but it's a little frustrating sometimes. Keep up the good work blush

Almost giving up

To Praveen: I used to keep a journal and write an "A" for awake as a reality check. I would also woke up several times at night to have multiple dreams and trigger lucid dreaming.

I only got close as so much as recognizing that I was in a dream a few times but couldn't get a hold of the dream, this went for a while so I had given up lucid dreaming. Maybe I'll try all over again and see.

To Byron : I admit guilty about wanting it bad, but usually I'm pretty relaxed.

To YngJo: I'm mesmerized by your mindset, I have never thought that way.How come you know so munch but still haven't projected? I bet in no time you will. This is a very interesting routine you've wrote here. Maybe I should try lucid dreaming and this.

Thanks for the helpful answers everyone! I'm better now.
