Hi, Meditation is always a solution for everything.
You can meditate and try to calm your mind. I have a suggestion, you can try to think whenever you get time "I will astral project tonight".
Try to say the same thing while you go to sleep. This will help you to astral project.

Regards,
Praveen

Your experience is very normal and what you went through is very real. Even though you couldn't move or really look around, it happens. you need to practice awareness during your waking life so your dreams become more lucid. Pay attention to your five sense as often as possible throughout the day and do a couple of dream test to see if you are awake. For example pull your finger during the day and you'll see that you will start pulling your finger in your dreams as well. When you are in the astral and you pull your finger it stretches like a silicon rubber, I do it for fun when I'm there.

Try this exercise,

When you are falling asleep at night, lay perfectly still. Don't even scratch an itch if you can help it. Start relaxing your body , visual your tension in your muscles letting go of all the stress as you slowly relax starting from your toes, move your way up to your knees, thighs, belly, fingers, arms, elbows, back, neck, face muscles. Feel a warm tingle through your body as your physical body falls asleep but you remain in full awareness of all five of your senses (sounds, taste, feel, sight, smell).

Now that your body is relaxed. Focus your attention to your heart beat, focus on the heart beat with as much sense as possible and feel it beat through your arms your fingers your legs your toes, until you feel your whole body as one beat, one vibration. As your doing this, your a clearing your mind of thought, dont think about problems, worries, what time you have to wake up, it doesn't matter right now, all that matters is your awareness.

Try doing that before you fall asleep, if you don't project more clearly, you will definitely have more lucid dreams.

Also remember that something called the silver cord connects your soul to your body, only death can take that away, so your always guaranteed a safe ride back home to your body :) and no entity can enter your body unless you give it permission. There is nothing to be scared of, any evil entity is just trying to scare you and stop you from advancing. Show it love embrace the evil with the love and say "I am a conscious human being, and you do not have permission to enter me".

Happy travels, let me know if you try this and what results you or anybody else may get.

Love and Light my brothers and sisters.

Lkj, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

Hey Solight tnx for the great tips.

Guys, I think I had my first full OBE this morning!  :) I got up much earlier than I'm used to, had to drive my wife to the train station. When I came home it was dawning, but still a bit dark. I didn't plan to go to bed, but still I laid down and fell asleep. When I awoke, maybe an hour and a half later I continued lying in bed and pretty much didn't move. I have to point out I wasn't thinking about AP at all, nor I had SP episodes. All of a sudden I felt the vibrations and without much thinking I completely let myself go. Before you know it I whooshed out of my body, easily and without effort. I bumped into ceiling and the wall felt so real to touch, like I was physically there.

Didn't want to waste time, first thing I've done, i got out through the open window and just began to fly (like pretty much 99% of people do in their first OBE, I believe). Before I actually left the safety of the ledge in front of my window, I checked if I could see my silver cord. Indeed, it was there, very thin line though. (not sure how thick it should be) It was a thrilling experience. I flew around a little without paying much attention to the stuff around me, but it was all well known environment, my street, buildings, the large industrial chimney ( must be 30 meters tall), which I flew immediately to. I admired the view, but the landscape was different than it is in the physical world. That thought probably triggered my return to the body. I felt returning like my whole body being put into a well made cast.

Although this was an amazing experience, I still have my doubts, was it real or just a dream, because:
1. I didn't see my bod lying in bed, the bed was empty
2. I flew out through the open window, but my window was closed. I usually always sleep with window open, this time I closed it when I got home from the train station, because the noise was bothering me, did my subconscious mind just make an image of what I thought was out there?
3. When i flew around my neighbourhood, I couldn't see anybody, not any person, any cars, it was all like I'm alone
4. Although the buildings were the same as in waking life, the landscape was rather different when I got further away.
5. It was the same time of day in my OBE (dawning, still a bit dark) just like it was when I first got into bed, but at the time of OBE the Sun was already up .

Guys, what do you think? Was it real or not? If it was, why this 5 things were so different?

Greetings LKJ,

First of all, Congratulations!! You have successfully made it!

Second of all, Just to tell you that sometimes your thoughts gets mixed with your AP, thats why you saw the sun risen, sometimes you also see darkness in your room while its shiny! Thoughts gets mixed sometimes unless you focus VERY well and slightly.

Third and last of all, You didnt see yourself in bed because you simple was in ANOTHER plane, You might be in astral plane or you went to lower levels. But you werent in physical plane! This happens alot for people of their first experience as its their first time, but overtime you will easily be able to control it and you will see yourself next time, But remember relaxation is the key. The more relaxed you are the better it is :)

Good luck and safe travels :)

Lkj, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

Thanks for clearing that out EnragedMaster. It makes sense. I've been under the influence of it the whole day now. I fill kinda slightly different, better, more focused on what I do. It was a really powerful experience, although it was short and uncertain, it made an impact on me.

Looking forward on exploring further, these experiences seem to have very calming and positive results on overall mental & spiritual state of a man.
