Missed opportunity

I had a very vivid dream last night that I was at some beautiful resort with a bunch of people, some I knew, some I didn't. I had a chance to become lucid, which almost never happens to me but I kind of turned it down to continue the dream I was having. I just randomly asked a person there what year it was, and as they replied I was saying in my head what year I thought they would tell me, 1969. The person then said, " but you already knew that," and I thought yes I knew they would say that, but I also knew that it isn't 1969, so it must be a dream. Everything became extremely clear at that moment, and I stood there deciding on whether or not to try something in my lucid state, but I just continued the dream I had and lost lucidity.

I have some astral projecting experience, and have become lucid during a false awakening once, but this is the first time I recall becoming lucid in a dream without waking myself up. It was pretty cool but I wish I would have done something more.
