That is wonderful! Your sixth sense was  letting you know in advance that they are thinking of calling you.
You are picking up their energy in your dream that they are thinking of contacting you, that is why you hear from them not long after your dream.  This has also happened to me and from my experience, each time this happens i hear from them or see them somewhere.  :)

Hey i know about it! My father happens to it very much! He dreams about his friend and when he call him his friend replies that he talked about him yesterday , its one of two , neither they met accidently in astral world while they dont know , or neither it was lucid but became astral , i dont know it very well but thats MY OPINION
