What happened here??

Posted over 8 years ago , by Michael Leggero

Ok, i'm looking for some interpretations here... i was experiencing a time in the future where people were fighting with each other for survival.. kind of a post apocalyptic society. I lost a fight with a woman warrior and was stabbed in the back several times with a spear. I literally felt the pain, but it wasn't painful.... I died and my soul or essence or inner self (whichever label you want to give it) left that body without fear and automatically or instinctively floated into another body in the same scenario and i continued the "story" i was interacting with several other people or "characters" before and after my "death" I've never had this kind of situation before and i'm looking for opinions on what it could have been. it seemed like reality of some sort.....

Praveen Kumar S, Wake-walking in dream state

Hello Michael, Welcome to the forum.

Did you saw any post apocalyptic kind of movie? It might have caused to get this dream. But dream is a dream, where we might have to interpret.

I personally haven't had such dreams, but it can be interpreted.

Apocalyptic dream: If the dream features post apocalyptic situation, it is a reflection of your waking life's attitude to a bad life situation. A situation so bad that you would consider it as the end of the world. (I found this with a quick google search.)

I guess your current situation in life, is that someone is backstabbing you and earning the rewards of yours. And also moving into other bodies can be interpreted like you wanted to have a different life/lifestyle than your current ones.

This will be my interpretation, but the best is you to judge what is happening in your life. You can relate your dreams to your reality to interpret, which is the best way to understand most out your dream.

Do you astral project or lucid dream?

Praveen said it all. Sometimes dreams are just a reflex of what we've experienced in the day. Sometimes they're really just random dreams, and other times they're related with something that is going on in our life.

Maybe it's like he said, it could be a lucid dream since you said it felt quite real.

i would have to disagree with that explanation, first i don't think it was a dream. i'm the happiest i have been in life right now, there is nobody out there that is backstabbing or hurting me in any way and the same goes for me, i'm not doing that to anyone either. I see no future for me of a bad life situation, i only see life getting better.

i did forget to mention that this was while i was attempting to astral project which is something new for me, thats why i'm curious about it....

i have been studying the mystical world (for lack of a better term) for about 25 years, for some reason i just never got around to astral travel/projection. so i have a lot of knowledge about other aspects but this is new to me so i'm asking. blush

Well, I don't know about the other users, but I'm afraid I'm might not be able to help as I've never heard of something like this before.

The only explanation I can think of, is that you had a lucid dream that you didn't quite got control of.

Although I don't know what kind of technique you use, I noticed that a lot of people, myself included, would have an intense realistic dream while trying to project. I think this is the consequence of failing in the attempt, since all the times this happened I 'd soon wake up.

Now, I think the reason for this, is that somehow our unconscious mind knows we're going to fail this one attempt for whatever reason, and promptly shifts the focus in another similar activity, once we're already in a hypnagogic state anyways, thus commencing the lucid dream.

Usually when this happens to me the dreams are all related to astral projection. It's so real when it happens, in the dream I start to think that I'm projected.

I don't know for sure if that's your case, but this is the only explanation I could think of, sorry to not be of much help.
