Hi, I have been trying to AP for many years after a few spontaneous AP's anyway yesterday I mixed a sleep audio MP3 with a ramp timer from Nick Newport's Lucidology course. I should say here that I get lucid a lot. Back to the ramp, the idea is to train myself to stay still when I wake up to get sleep paralisis it didn't work but I did get lucid. Earlier this week I read a article about how to be more present in a LD and one way is to smile (really?) So as I tried I realized I was already smiling ear to ear but the LD was fading and then as I was standing there my body started to vibrate and I relaxed into it and went back to sleep with a false awakening but I was still dreaming. Also when I started to vibrate I saw a guy sitting down looking away from me but I had the distinct feeling he was observing me.
My question is can I turn a LD into a AP?

Yes you can, but me personally i dont know how, BUT, i heard people saying that if you want to turn a LD into an AP you shall run straight very fast, others say you can do it by meditating in dream, i once meditated and when i i opened my eyes i was awake :)
I've had a few experiences recently wherein I'm in a dream, that's kind of lucid, and I'll take some sort of "drug" that induces a projection (or what I think could be one or maybe it's just a dream of one). For example, in one I found "the right" mushroom and sucked in the gas is produced, or in one I was smoking some weed in my bed, and that triggers the following: the dream fades and I enter a black void and feel vibrational/exit symptoms of shaking, spinning, turning, flying, and then I pop out of my body.
These are always so far kind of unintentional. But if you're lucid, hey, you could try it. See if something like that works.
