Not Quite Astral Projection

Posted over 11 years ago , by Echo

Ok so it has been a very long time since this has happened to me. I would like to hear if others have had much experience with it.

Last night I was having difficulty exiting my body. I was in sleep paralysis, but usually I exit seamlessly and go about my business. Last night it just wasn't happening so I got up and was put a dish in the dishwasher. While putting the dish away I was having a very hard time walking and thinking. It was like I was on drugs, stumbling and moving really slow, and my brain wasn't working quite right. After a lot of effort, I finally finished the 15 foot trip and layed back down on the couch and went to sleep.

Upon waking, I realized that the whole thing never happened. I actually had exited my body, and there had been no dish to put away. Like, I never used the dish last night..it was all in my head.

What I'm curious about, is this plane I was in. I've heard it called the ethereal plane. I've only been in it a couple times, mostly in the first couple projections I had. It's like trying to walk through thick mud. You move slow and stumble around..sometimes having to crawl. Can anyone share their own experiences there? Or just shed some more info on it?

Praveen Kumar S, Wake-walking in dream state

Hi Echo, firstly I apologize for a very late reply.
I have had a similar experience very long back, where I woke up, I tried to walk to the bathroom like walking through think mud, I finally reached the bathroom and I took my tooth brush. I was very slow and felt very tiered and confused. then I though of sleeping again. so went back crawling to bed and slept again. But when I woke up I realized that it was a projection.

Lostlight2013, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

I've had a lot of these experiences actually. I remember one time it continued to happen for what felt like forever!
I was trying to get out of my body and i felt like i had woken up. So i sat up and then instantly my body felt like a bag of bricks so i just slumped over to the side, fell off my bed, tried to move but couldnt and then blacked out. Which then i woke up on my bed again, i thought 'well that was strange' and sat up again. This time once i got to my feet i felt very disorientated and i stumbled maybe 2 steps before collapsing to my knees and blacking out again. This went on at least 10 more times, it's like i kept waking up and then it would happen again. The weirdest part was i remembered every experience vividly.

Another experience i had was i was meditating and drifted off. I woke up because i had to go to the bathroom, so i got up and started stumbling though my dormitory to our community bathroom that we had. I felt very loopy and i remember my head felt like it weighed a ton and it was hard to move my legs. Well as i stumbled around i looked down the hallway and i saw one of my friends walking towards me, we made eye contact, he waved then did a 90 degree turn and walked through the wall. Funniest part was because i was in this loopy state, i didnt find that as odd. I went to the bathroom, stumbled back to my room, laid down and fell asleep. Then i woke up like 'Wait....that dude walked through a wall!' When really, i had never went to the bathroom at all, i still needed to go. Very strange.

Echo, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

Wow it's been a long time since I've been on here. It's a shame really because all this is very interesting. I've been in that state where you feel like ur walking through mud. It's not as fun as a more pure astral experience, but it's still intriguing to me. I think the best experience is becoming lucid in the middle of a dream...there's already people established to interact with.
