I tend to have vivid dreams. And in this particular vivid dream I woke up from a mini nightmare:the bridge I drove on collapsed on me and I was falling. So then I woke up.
I woke up floating. I realized this must've been a dream so I walked out but noticed nothing living is here. I'm the only being. So I forced myself to wake up again.
Only this time....it was different. Cold. Dark. Eerie. Like those insidious movies. So I tried to wake up. I sensed something beyond the door that frightened me.
I thought hard. I recalled the way I slept. The way my sister snored--we share a room--and the blankets that I had piled on me. Then...
Nothing. I saw the door opening slowly and so I told myself to calm down. And this time, I made it.
A jolt surged through me and I woke up. That's when I saw a shadow, as soon as a I woke up, standing beside my bed. There was a sliver of light that oulined it though--and I knew nothing in the room or outside could make such a unique outline that perfectly matched with the Shadow's. Relieved I fell back asleep but this time it happened again.
I caught on quick so I thought about my safe base--my boyfriend, he's ALWAYS calling himself my safe base--so I reached for my phone. Funny thing was...it, my hand, went through the phone and the night stand.
So I had to recall everything again: the way I slept, the sound she makes when she snores, and etcetera. All I know is that it worked. And I was awake again.
Pretty freaky or maybe it was just another vivid dream. Who knows. Or maybe those insidious movies are just getting to me. :')
