When I was younger, in my teens and twenties I used to astral project quite often. But now that I'm older and on medication it seems that it's a lot harder for me, almost impossible! I was wondering if my medication might have something to do with it, and if switching to herbal medications might help?

Hi Rick, what kind of medication are you taking? Maybe if its something related to sleep, it might cause issues.
Hi Praveen, well I'm taking a whole list of medication including a Fentanyl Patch, Magnesium Citrate, Lasix, Zanaflex, Melatonin, Nexium, Topamax, Claritin, Florastor, Stress Formula Tablet, B-12, Oxycodone at least once a day, and that's about all that would actually affect me. The others are just typical vitamins and 2 inhalers.
Hi Rick, I am no doctor, but I see that you many medicines, which might cause sleep issues. Do you get proper sleep or do you have any problems sleeping?
Hi Praveen, I've had insomnia for around 20 years and the only time I didn't suffer from it was honestly when I was with my ex-fiance and we could cuddle, and my English Pit Bull Terrier would lay next to me years after me and her broke up. I'm on Melatonin right now for the insomnia and it helps a lot more than any sleeping pill I've ever taken, they never seem to work on me for some strange reason. So yeah you could say I do have a slight sleeping problem.

- What was the techniques you were using before in your twenties?
- Did you recently try any new techniques?
- Do you still have insomnia?
Well I use the same technique I used then. I start meditating then visualize a chord leading from my solar plexus of my physical body to the same of my spiritual body, and then I start traveling. Yes I do still have insomnia to this day even though I take Melatonin every night I still only get about 3 to 4 hours of sleep. At least now I'm starting to dream again which is something I haven't done in a very long time!!
I haven't seen any similar thing like this, If you are getting dreams, You can try meditation for few more days to bring back your normal sleep. Meanwhile if you are dreaming, you can use reality checks to lucid dream which will keep you motivated. Once you get some proper sleep, you can try again with Astral projection.
