How to overcome fear

Posted over 11 years ago , by Echo

I was a little bored tonight and read through some posts on a different forum about astral. That particular forum is too big, so I prefer this forum to actually engage in.

I also know that there have been many many posts about demons, extraterrestrials, ghosts, and generally unpleasant sensations during projection. My first couple experiences with AP (astral projection) and SP (sleep paralysis) were utterly terrifying. First two times I thought a ghost attacked me, then I thought I was having a seizure. So obviously I turn to the Internet to find out what was happening, and learned about all the AP and SP phenomenon.

SP is weird ok. It's an out of this world sensation...but everyone should keep in mind that it is very much part of this world.

Every single night we are in SP. If not, we would all enact our dreams..very dangerous. So there is absolutely nothing to fear from SP if you truly understand its purpose. And I promise, after eliminating the fear, a couple things happen: the intensity of the sensation decreases, you welcome any time your conscious during SP, and it never really catches you off guard.

During AP just focus on having fun. Go sit in a cloud, or let the wind float you down the street, or ride a broomstick. I know it can be a very spiritual experience for most people, but it also is extremely rooted in science. My advice is to err on the side of caution when you make it a supernatural experience, because demons and ghosts can't exist when you don't believe in them.

I'm only saying this because the first two experiences that took me off guard were scary as hell, but since figuring out that my brain created that story to make sense of the SP sensations, I have never felt even an ounce of fear. Only excitement, euphoria, and pure happiness. Plus I'm so impressed with our brains! ;)
