Hey everyone, I'm an OBE noob and just had my first experience last night after several weeks of trying. It was very different from what I expected so I wanted to document both for my own record and because I have a couple questions. I entered the OBE directly from a lucid dream and did not experience any vibrations at all. I had full physical sensation of my astral body although it was difficult to see. My exit was lateral and then I started moving down through the floor near my bed. The first thing I noticed was the voice of an older man who was narrating what was happening as if he was watching sports.. "Ok, now he's out , and there he goes into the floor. Hey you're moving through the floor there!". I initially assumed the voice was a thought form and did not bother to interact with it at first.
I moved up away from the floor and then immediately went through the wall of my house (from the second the floor). "You're going through the wall there now", the voice observed. From there I attempted to get past my blindness by prying open my astral eyes with my fingers - I heard that recommendation before in a Youtube video. This worked partially and I could see as if I was wearing blinders or looking through a papertowel roll. I then proceeded to fly abound my neigborhood at the rooftop level. This was shortlived and I was soon back in my body.
After returning to my body I immediately had an additional OBE.. This time I could see. The room however was not my room, or at least not my room in the current timeline. The furnishings looked to be the late 1800s or early 1900s.. My home was built in 1875 although it was completely shelled and rebuilt in 2012. There were two beds in the room. One was empty and the other was occupied by a sleeping child. My guess is 6 or 7 years old. The same voice was present. I don't recall exactly what he was saying but it was more of the same rambling narration. I decided to interact with the voice this time. "Who are you, are you my spirit guide?" I asked. "My name's Tom" he replied. I still could not see Tom and do not know why he was there. I did sense him to be benevolent. My impression of Tom is of a carefree and pleasant old man - the kind that would chat up a stranger or engage in small talk.
Not knowing if Tom was my spirit guide, a random entity, or a thought form, I decided to ask him a question. "Am I in the right line of work?" was my question. Its something that has been irking me so figured I'd ask. Tom replied "Well if they're paying you enough money then yeah!". I was half expecting a more profound reply but Tom is a practical guy. After his reply, the OBE ended.
My questions are - is it common to have an OBE exit directly into a different timeline? That's definitely what happened it it was an OBE. Also, is it possible this was all a continuation of my lucid dream? I do not think it was as it was very realistic although I've had realistic dreams before. Thanks!
