Darkness when leaving the body

Posted over 12 years ago , by Pedroalmeida

So, after almost a decade of not doing it I've decided to start practicing astral projection again. I've started doing energy absorption and exteriorization exercises about 4 days ago before falling asleep and then a mantra which used to work really well for me (FARAON). Anyway, tonight I've finally managed to be conscious outside of my body for about 30 seconds and then lost my consciousness. Everything was dark and I was sitting on my bed and because I could't see anything I immediately received instructions in my head saying "you need to energize your frontal chakra". So I placed my hands in front of my forehead to try and energize it and lost consciousness.

My question is, does anyone know if it's common for it to be so dark? What is the reason for that? (I guess it's the frontal chakra)

And with regards to duration, if I practice every night will the duration of the conscious projection increase?

Any tips will be welcomed! ;D
