I'm not entirely certain what it is I experienced, or... why it even happened to me.
I only recently began to look into astral projection, out of curiosity more than actually wanting to try it for myself.
Years ago, when I was maybe 14, I had just got baptised. I lived in a house that was particularly haunted. I would hear footsteps, running up the stairs, banging and knocking in the basement, cabinets closing where there were none, see bits of light when nothing was there... I was an active lucid dreamer, and I often was able to have a dream about anything or anyone I wanted, sort of my daydreaming about it as I was going to sleep.
Well this night, in my room, I woke up on my back to find that I couldn't move. I panicked, I felt a pulsing sensation in my chest, I couldn't speak but I was aware and I could see.
I heard a voice, a man's voice, pray this... this thing off of me, my ears ringing. A very loud scream from that of a woman, sort of 'tore' from my chest, and I felt a burning there and suddenly, I could move again. I thought maybe one of the spirits was trying to possess me, and an angel got it away. I was traumatized.
I was told to pray and call for jesus should it happen again. And it did.
Except when I tried to open my mouth to pray, I was unable to, i just heard a very loud rumbling or buzzing vibration and ringing in my ears, began panicking, and mentally prayed the feeling away. Afterwards I felt very drained, and of course frightened. I thought for certain a demon was trying to possess me.
Weeks later, every other day, it would happen again, around 3-5am, when no one else was awake. I tried sleeping in a room with others to no avail. But praying seemed to help.
After a few weeks, it all seemed to vanish. No more sleep paralysis or anything like it.
But now that I've read up on astral projection, could it have been that? My soul separating from my body?
I'm afraid to practice it again and find out, because I believe a spirit hovers around me. I have dreams of it following me, loving me, but also sometimes wanting to harm me. I've had a dream of it moaning in the walls, and a few days later my mother told me of this same sound coming from my room while I was away. It knocks on my door, turns on lights, or looks at me through mirrors in my dreams in the form of a man.
Im too frightened to see it in the astral world. It's really the only thing keeping me away.
I guess I just want answers, or insight. Or anything besides my family telling me I'm being haunted or possessed by a demon. Lol..
