I've been trying to AP for almost a year but managed to get only spontaneus partial once.
Along with that, I've been quite successful with meditation, even though I'm not practicing as often as someone may think.
When you're doing meditation for AP, you would need to do it lying down (or chair, where you can completely relax your muscles without slight possibility to fall). You will need to learn how to meditate, because you need to learn how to control your thoughts. There are several techniques how to meditate.
**Instructions for mindless meditation**:
When you try to meditate **you can't fail**. If you think the time spent meditating is wasted, you're not trying.
Take first 3 minutes to get in a comfortable position. Check for any **things that may cause itching over time** (they can increase for like x30 times). Thanks for the reply & comment on structure of my post. I think it's fair if I present things a bit organized and put some effort in it, if I expect someone to put their own time and effort in the answer/ response.
I've been thinking about associating bed with sleep too. But I came to some problems. I live basically in 1-room appartment, and don't have much space: ofc I have a desk and chair, but meditating on same chair would not be efficient and couter-work-productive. I'm realizing the problem with the bed, but so far I need to stick with it.
I will stick with 2 tries per day.

I was experiencing this feeling often in the past (years ago), and I managed to get it back now in the 2nd try of trying to project. Also found it useful for vizualizing and moving "spirit" parts of body, with what I had troubles before.
