What am I doing wrong?

First things first. I'm new, so sorry if i didn't post this in the appropriate forum.
Anyways I'm trying to learn how to astral project, but i can never reach the stage
of sleep paralysis(while awake). Even if i've stayed perfectly still for more than an hour. I've tried
using binaural beats (which do help a little bit). I usually end up falling in and out of sleep.
they only way i reach sleep paralysis is after i have fallen asleep and I'm dreaming. That is
kinda unpleasant cause when that happens in my dream a demon is attacking me. so i don't know
what to do. any suggestions?

Its easy , first can you tell me at what time do you go to project? , oh and this post will be moved to techniques :)

I usually try at night. Most of the time I either fall asleep while meditating, or i'll feel uneasy while meditating and I'll stop. funny enough after i posted my first post on here. I read some techniques
and i tried to project. I think i might have succeeded.
It was really weird, I remember was while i was meditating , i think i zoned out or something. i didn't feel the effects of sleep paralysis .
i felt something like violent jerking in my leg. my whole body felt like i was having a seizure. I opened my
eyes, and i was in my room, but for some reason it looked weird. so i closed them real quick and suddenly
i felt myself rising up and soon after i was able to see without opening my eyes. I went through my door and down the hall and i went outside, and looked around. while that was happening some key things i remember are : i could hear myself snoring and feel myself breathing, i also heard the dryer stop while i was outside. i remember all of it, but it was hard to see and i don't know why. its like my vision was distorted. is that normal? idk do you think it was lucid dreaming or an actual projection?

You know what... Not in meaning of showing off actually, but since i was borned i feel like i have the ability to explain the unexplainable , thanks for writing this post , i have done pretty alot of researchs and today or tomorrow ill release my post , that post will be a devastation , a real devastation , its how to project in one single day , i know its impossible , but trust me , on human being nothing is impossible ,ill do this post like never been found in the whole internet forums , no matter what , those will be my own techniques , and whoever reads the post will project in the same day , and anyone having troubles ill help him instantly and he wont sleep without knowing all the answers ,  if you can wait to tomorrow all your questions will be answered , and plus ill make you activate the third eye in the same day  ;) , trust me ill do it , also can we talk in instant messenger or anything? I want some information about the most most mistakes beginners do , so in my post neither today or tomorrow , everything is done :) , please throw me a PM :) , thanks

Hello Sectumsempra, Welcome to the Forum :)
Ya, The first few sleep paralysis will freak you out like anything.
be bold, Think nothing will happen. When you are paralyzed, you will feel more negative things happening around.
But that all just your imagination. Feel something good or positive things next time when you are sleep paralyzed.
You will not encounter such demonic things again.
Do not forget "Everything is in Mind" :)
My suggestion, is Just stay on the forum. Start reading some sticky posts.
You will get some techniques on how to stay positive and how to astral project easily.
Astral Projection happens only for the people who believe in it :)

I hope I have answered a little, some more you can find it through the search bar on top :)

Try taking a nap at one point during the day so by the time it's bed time for you you'll be tired enough to fall asleep. This works for me almost every time; in fact sometimes i set up my timer so i wake up in the middle of the night just so i can go back to bed and feel the sensation that allows me to leave my body.

What works best for me and what I think will help you out is that you do not project when you go to bed. But instead wake up around 3:00 AM, stay up for about an hour or an hour and a half and then go back to bed. Then make sure you're relaxed and typically your body should start falling asleep before your mind does and you'll achieve sleep paralysis. At that point your vibrations should raise and you will be a will to project.  Personally binaural beats help me relax, but when it's time for me to project I don't like to have anything playing in my ear. Try relaxing first with the binural beats and then take them off to project. Good luck!!

You are on your way. The sleep paralysis usually sneaks up on me too. Just transfer that fear into curiosity and ecitement. They say too much excitement can hinder your abilities, but its a much happier experience. Also, with practice you can subdue the excitement.

Just think of all the interesting things to try.

At first, if you see something that's scary, just ignore it or think happy thoughts.

When I first started projecting I imagined it night because that's when I practiced. Try early morning practicing, or just imagine its morning when you project. Things are much less scary when surrounded by a beautiful sunrise :) There's no creepy shadows or ambiguous inky black blobs.

Also, when I project and I'm in my house, there is usually a dream character present. I dunno, I ignore the first person I see, because I might question why they are in my house. Instead i cheerfully wave goodbye as I float through the ceiling, not really paying attention to who I'm waving at. Just be happy your conscious for the experience and start exploring the world :)
