Tips for me personally, from those who have learned to astral project

Hi

I'd like to ask those who have successfully learned to astral project what tips they have for me, in my situation, for rediscovering and honing the skill ... because it's been 10 years without an OOBE! :(( This is my story...

10 years ago I read a small book on AP by Rick Stack. I don't recall which exercises I did, but don't think I tried very hard. Then one night a dream about two guys in the street with a barbeque and something about a white van(?!) was interrupted by a voice in my head saying, very quickly, "Now's the time. Now's the time."

In the next instant I exited my body, without any active intent on my part.

I didn't go far. I recall being able to see my darkened room, and hearing a two-note oscillating metallic tone. I thought it was really cool, but quickly got scared and came straight back to my body.

An odd element of the experience was the voice. In 40+ years of existence, with all kinds of normal self-chatter in my active mind, I have never 'heard' a voice before. The weirdest thing was that I knew the voice was definitely not mine, and that it definitely was mine.

Rationally, this makes zero sense. It's not possible for a voice to be both mine and not mine. However, this was a clear, definitive, and entirely acceptable truth in that state.

Since that experience...almost nothing :((. I haven't been able to do it again, with one minor exception two years ago: Face planted in a pillow and asleep, I felt the same separation sensation - drawing out of my body - but it wouldn't complete. Maybe I got too excited.

I really, really want to experience this again, and then get good at it - learn to induce it at will. Knowing what you know about my early experiences, any specific tips please?

Thank you :))

Hi! Your experience is intriguing and life changing as i can guess. So as you said you have astral projected before and know what it is like to fall asleep and find yourself paralyzed.Well i think that this is the most important state that you need to master in order to astral project.

Sleep paralysis

Knowing how to willingly fall into sleep paralysis is a great head start to find yourself astral projecting. Now for some learning how to astral project can be like riding a bicycle meaning that can never be forgotten.

So as i said above in my experience sleep paralysis is the only "hard state " that you need to achieve in order to astral project and by inducing it you are almost ready and set to go. I was having trouble astral projecting and reaching the S.P state myself. I would either get too exited or not reach it at all.

What i did was simply let it come naturally. I was training my self 3 times a day for three weeks. Now what i mean about " naturally " is going to bed and saying to myself over and over what my goal was until i fell asleep. For example if i wanted to fall into sleep paralysis i would simply keep saying to myself " i want to fall into sleep paralysis " Not panicking and staying calm witch i am sure are the same thing did the trick. Also by focusing on a memory in which you noticed your self falling asleep would be the other step for inducing S.P After falling into sleep paralysis the only thing you have to do is separate and there you are out of your body having an astral projection experience.

For me this is the best way to induce ap at will at any moment of the day. Its a 2 step way into sleep paralysis and the you can use whichever technique you want to separate so for a quick sum up the 2 steps are ( after you relax ,stretch and lay the way you are comfy )

~ Keep saying to yourself to fall into sleep paralysis ~ keep memorizing a moment in which you noticed your self falling asleep P.S i am a student and i had a lot of free time in the summer to practice AP . As i said it only took me 3 weeks and for some it might take less or more time to master sp.

I really hope this helps ~
