Seeking First Intentional AP

Posted about 12 years ago , by Dizzieblonde

Newbie to the forum after reading some of the AP posts for the last few days and hoping to develop my projection abilities. Although I have experienced two or three incidences of projection several years ago, these were entirely unintentional. I've been experimenting with various mp3 sounds intended to induce a projection over several months now but without much success, the closest being the sleep paralysis stage which then I struggle with and wake up from as I'm convinced I won't be able to breathe if I let it continue! :-\

  • For those of you more experienced with intentionally inducing a projection, I'm hoping you may be able to offer some guidance...

  • Do you find meditation or hypnosis induction sounds help or hinder you? I'm finding them relaxing and giving me something to focus on, but sometimes induce sleep rather than a hypnagogic state.

  • How do you overcome the fear of sleep paralysis during the paralysis itself? Although when I'm fully awake and alert the subject doesn't worry or distress me, once I'm experiencing it I become concerned of difficulty breathing and knowingly force myself out of it, usually by slightly moving a limb, finger or toe.

  • Once in the sleep paralysis stage, how long does it take to fully project? Seconds, minutes or longer?

  • On the few occasions I've accidentally experienced projection sensations, I've found my vision is very blurred. What could be the cause of this, or how to remedy it? I've also twice found myself 'projected' within the bed, but seemingly unable to 'free myself' from my body

Thank you for any input you can provide, and I'll stay fixed on the forums to see what other techniques you can all offer.
