Hi everybody I am pretty new to Astral projection (4 days into it) I have been attempting it the past 3 nights but only get so far. Firstly let me say that I use isochronic tones through headphones. The past 3 nights I lay down under a blanket about an hour before I usually go to bed. I lay there and relax, I use progressive relaxation so I flex all the muscles starting at my toes and ending at my head. I do this entire process as many times as I feel necessary to relax. Than I use a method I found on the internet called the Girtitak technique. Basically you inhale, and when you exhale you say "gir" than inhale and exhale and say "ti" than inhale and exhale and say "tak" (you say these in your head). So after doing all that, in 20-40 minutes I reach a state where I feel like my body is floating but my head is remaining still (its as if my body is slowly rotation to the left but my head is still facing forward, sometimes my body will feel upside down or will rotate the other way as well). The weird thing with this is, I can't really feel my body on the bed but I feel my head on the pillow, like, I can feel the pillow on the back of my head and on my ears a little. I also get short of breath and sometimes my heart rate jumps, and last night I felt like my body temperature increased. But one night I when I was short of breath I tried taking a really deep breath and I felt the blanket on my arms move, so is my body really asleep? I really wish to achieve an Astral Projection so I have many questions.
Am I doing this right? Should I only let the isochronic tones play for 30 minutes than stop? Or put it on repeat until I have a projection?
What is this feeling my body experiences? Is it normal for AP? If it is normal, how long after will I get a sign that I am ready to seperate?
With this strange feeling I can still feel my head on the pillow, should I try to numb my head as well? Or is this okay?
When I am relaxing should I stare into the blackness in my eyelids, or let my mind wonder through random thoughts?
How will I know when my astral body is ready to seperate? What technique is considered easiest for most people?
Is the Girtitak method good for seperation, or just for relaxing? The PDF I have says its an exit technique, and I should just say the Mantra over and over until I pass out, separate or fall asleep.
Thanks everybody! Sorry if this is to much, I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly, I have read a lot about this subject the past few days and these are questions I still have.
