Mind Awake Body Asleep - Wild State

  Many websites and youtube videos makes getting to this state seem so hard and complicated; in truth it's really not and once someone has achived it once doing it again seems easy and natural...as simple as day dreaming.

  Start by laying down on your back with your arms to your sides. Make sure the room is quiet and dimly lit. Close your eyes and visualize a small light out in the darkness straight in front of you, and hold your focus on this light.
 
  Breathe normaly not to deep not to shallow. For now try your best to keep your mind totaly clear of thought. On an inward breath visualize everything around you getting darker - on your outward breath feel your self sinking into the darkness. Keep sinking and sinking into this darkness. Let your body become numb. (Remember to stay perfectly still while doing this...don't move a muscle). Sink deeper and deeper until all sense of your body is gone.

  You should begin to feel yourself wanting to drift into sleep. Slowly take all thought away from how you are breathing; clear your mind once again of everything. Try to let no thought enter. Stare strait ahead out into the darkness at your small little light. Let your mind drift off. If thoughts come in let them (just don't consciously create them.) Let your mind wonder and zone out. Begin to think of a place or create a dream; imagine the little light exspanding and becoming your place or dream. (Most say to focus hard on creating a dream focus on every little detail...) I say this is wrong! Keep your thoughts light and far apart; to much conscious thought will keep you awake and away from a dreaming like state.

  Let your self fall into a dream. I even find when doing this...and I decide to roll over on my side and quit I still wind up in a lucid mind awake body asleep state.

I have a really bad dry mouth when i do this and i need to swollow every 5 seconds what can i do to help myself? And i keep moving my tounge

Because you are doing it wrong... Why do you even move your tongue?! You shall not move anything! , And the reason you are swallowing is because you think about swallowing.. Thats why you swallow, if you forget about it you wont swallow at all.

You are concentrating more on your mouth area. Try to change your focus to other parts of your body and you wont feel the swallow sensation at all. :)

Can I presume that this same technique will work for Astral Projection?  It seems as though it's more for Lucid Dreaming!?

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile; I have been in the hospital. To reach the Wild State you must learn to not feel your body at all; your body no longer exsists, nothing your body does or wants matters, exnore everything! Your conscious mind wants you to notice your body if you can not break this "YOU WILL NEVER ASTRAL TRAVEL"!!! Take all your focus off your body; I often do this by visualizing a small white light off in the distance. Nothing else exsist but the white light. Don't try to move towards it just gaze. If you feel your body at all you should only feel it sinking and drifting away. On a in breath "Body paralized no feeling" on an out breath "Sink". Relax deeper and deeper...{{{but Silver Lycan how do I know if I'm deep enough???}}} If you're asleep or out of body you're deep enough...for one of the two will happen lol

oannes, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

I've tried this minus the visualizations and keeping my body still is probably the hardest part. Sometimes its so uncomfortable that I'm in pain because I haven't itched my nose or something like that for twenty minutes. So far I THINK I've gotten so far as to disconnect my arms from my astral body but I just say that because I could feel my arms but they weren't MY arms if that makes any sense. It seems I always get to that level were I begin to feel separation and then it just subsides and I never get past that.

If nose itches, try to concentrate on any other body parts and you don't any itch. If you are not able to separate yourself completely, it means you still have fear. Stay calm and try again.
