Okay, so I was in class and SUPER tired. I count my breaths, with my eyes closed. I start to feel vibrations, then jerk open my eyes. I was sitting up the whole time. Would it have been possible to Astral Project at that time if I hadn't opened my eyes?
Is it possible to Astral Project without lying down?
Welcome to the forum :)
If you had felt the vibs, Then you are near to Astral Projection.
So next time when you try, just try to stay calm a little more.
You can check this technique written by Enraged Master:
http://www.forumforastral.com/techniques-and-help-to-astral-projection/how-to-astral-project-in-one-single-day!-(-devastating-post!-)/
Using the above technique you can project in a single day as he has mentioned :)
The point of everything is to try to forget your physical body so you can feel the viberations and try to astral project after the viberations :)

Well, actually... I've found that (and I know this goes against the 'vibe' of this forum) the vibrations aren't really something to aim for. I've always viewed them as a signpost-type experience that reads, "Whatever you're doing, you're doing it right, so keep on doing it!"
Some practitioners, such as myself, never feel the vibrations... they're especially (well, usually) missing from projections using the Phasing methods.
Phasing being you "transferring" your consciousness from "here" (physical reality) to "there" (a reality that isn't this physical reality) smoothly with no break in awareness.
I don't really want to step on anyone's toes here though. So I'll just leave my response at that for now unless someone asks for more specifics later. :)
Very good post, Xanth :) . The vibrations are - in my humble contention - nothing more than a sign of the awakening of the so-called life-force , but they don't always accompany the transfer of consciousness. The first fully controlled projection I had wasn't accompanied by any unusual sensations, neither tactile nor auditory. All I did was to perform the procedure outlined in the writings of "Ordo Aurum Solis" - namely, to project a stream of life-force through the solar plexus, form it into a shape of a human body, and then project the consciousness into this imaginary body from chosen point in the physical body (either the brow or the base of neck, I chose the latter). I did it in the early morning and in the matter of seconds I was 'out' - without feeling or hearing anything unusual.

Hey Xanath, You are not talking anything against the forum. You are absolutely right.
we can astral projection even without Vibes, buzzing sound or any other things. my astral projections are mostly without these things.
Vibes are just like a signpost to know you are in the right direction. But for the newbies finding the signpost itself is a great achievement. That is why I always encourage them by saying "if you have got vibes, then you are in the right path". Just saying them that you have got the signpost, so you are near to your place :)
You can post your specifics in the new thread, so that we can discuss it there.
so that we don't hijack the crazyclarinetchick's post ;)
Willing to read more on this, waiting for your post :)
Thank you :)
