Astral Projections only in 'haunted' locations?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and also new astral projections so I'm here because I have a lot of questions and have no answers. I'm hoping this is the right place to gain some answers.

So here are some of my experiences / questions about astral projection:

It seems to only happen during sleep paralysis with me. And so far the only time it has happened is when I have stayed somewhere that is quite possibly haunted. So I wonder, if I'm projecting in an attempt to interact with whatever maybe at that location or is the entity pulling me out because it senses that I can sense that it is there?

For example, when I stayed with my friend for about a month, they never noticed it, but I knew really soon that there was something a bit off. For example, when her family wasn't home or when they went to sleep, I immediately started hearing creaking and clicking. If it was during the day it was even worse, I would hear something big fall in her bedroom, or the water run in the kitchen and utensils being moved (when no one but me was home). Then one night while I was sick and exhausted because I couldn't breathe well and could barely sleep, I woke up as her husband was leaving to work and I was in momentary sleep paralysis. I heard this evil laughter and got spooked so I sat up and was glad because I thought I had gotten out of sleep paralysis, looked around the room, and decided to get up and use the bathroom. Instead, without knowing, I was out of my body and I floated up to the ceiling where I saw a lot of clutter...dust and what looked like an questionably creepy stuffed animal of a rabbit. Now there was nothing in the ceiling mind you, and I was so freaked out about being on my ceiling that I snapped too and didn't sleep till the sky was light again.

Then when I was visited my sister a month later and I stayed with her for about a month, I started to also hear clicking from the tv every once in a while. Mainly at night though. There were also a handful of times that I went to nap or went to sleep for the night, only to know that I fell asleep and have my eyes be wide open. Now there was no feeling of sleep paralysis, I just know that I was fast asleep and all of a sudden I would be looking at my room because my eyes were open. If it happened at night, the room was cast in a different kind of lighting, more of a glow. This was confusing because I thought I was asleep and would never connect the dots and realize that I may be about to get out of my body. Sometimes, I thought I might be able to just get up, but I was always scared I would encounter something and I would force myself awake. Soon after this happened, the tv started clicking a lot more and suddenly I started having nightmares of being sexually molested. I would wake up to feeling like I was being touched. During these dreams I did feel some sleep paralysis and I had to fight really hard to wake up. One time my chest hurt terribly.

Now that I'm back home, where I never had any negative experiences or astral experiences either, I've seen an orb in the dark at night so no possible light reflection, and have also continued having situations where I can feel myself drifting to sleep or waking, and feel my body go in sleep paralysis or nearly into it and feel like I maybe getting near projecting and I'll feel myself being touched so of course I get scared and snap to. Now the only time that this weird stuff doesn't happen is if I specifically pray to god and his archangels for protection. If I don't pray, after one or two days its game on for that to repeat. I'm working on getting my apartment cleansed because I think I got a Negative Energy Attachment from my sister's home. We never got to talk too much about it, but it sounded like she and her son experienced some things while living there.

This is really frustrating because while I'm happy that I actually can somewhat project and can be in tune to more than the material world, I feel that I have no control here. And in review, whenever I have projected or have felt like I'm about to, it has always been at a location where I 'sense' something. So are these haunted places controlling me or what?

And if you have any advice on dealing wit this negative entity, by all means please tell me because even though I may sense something, I don't ever see anything, hear anything or have any special 'knowing' to help me understand what is going on. And I'm new enough to spirituality that I don't know my guides yet or anything like that to get direction.
