I had sleep paralysis about 5 times in the past 2 years. Haven't had it in a good while. I'm going to actually try to get back into it. You mentioned About astral projection and being able to OBE from sleep paralysis. It is possible, I have done it twice. It's really easy actually. I did it on total accident. Eventually it led me to a book called **Sleep Paralysis: A Guide to Hypnagogic Visions and Visitors of the Night** This will cover a lot of your questions.
Hey, I was in the same boat here, but one day by accident I found a way to really pull myself out. Maybe this could help you, it is my video about it. happy travelling! http://corneey.com/w4m5mC
Hi, I started exploring AP because I have always had lucid dreams and I began experimenting in the with what I could and couldn't do which led me to looking into AP since there are many similarities.
Anyway everyone I am out of body and want to get back in I just think of my body and I wake up, that is until I read journeys out of body and tried the laying down back into my body technique instead and when I did this I got a very uncomfortable "click" back in that felt like I have been hit with an electric bolt and I got a weird jolt in the back of my neck with tingling and that nails on a chalkboard feeling. Also an electric buzzing noise.
Needless to say I have not wanted to try to re enter this way again.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Try to stay relaxed and if you begin to get frustrated give it a break and try again another time.
Also, you could try to using a different technique .
I experience that fear as well. You, and I, seem to be scared of meeting our spirit guides. We both know they do not have any bad intentions, in fact, mine seem to have good ones, but meeting a being in another dimension or realm seems just unusual. The only thing I can recommend, and again, I am working on getting over this fear myself, is to just think about how they have watched over you their whole life, and that they have essentially cared for you spiritually. Think about how they will probably be happy to see you when you succeed in astral projection. They may look peculiar In your eyes when you meet them in the higher realms, but they will more than likely be happy to see you.
The only thing I can recommend is to continue to practice, or try meditating, though it takes slightly longer to astral project through meditation. A good time to attempt astral projection is around four in the morning.
I hoped I answered your question. Btw would you please help me with getting over the fear of the intense vibrational state?
Well, honestly for some people doing this is very easy, but for some, it requires a lot of practice and patience. Some will continue trying and some will quit.
I would suggest that, if you are trying from very long time and not succeeding, you should start trying lucid dreaming, which I think is easier to achieve, all you have to do is note down your dreams in a dream journal and practice reality checks and you will be lucid dreaming in fewer days.
Once you start making your lucid dream stable, you can jump from lucid dream to astral projection.
Hello Chris,
I have had similar experiences, where I ended up in a different timeline or I project from lucid dream to my old house where I used to live 15 years ago, I still go there for no reason. I also believe that lucid dream is just another state of awareness where you just don't know that you are out of the body. In that case, even if it's a lucid dream or astral projection, in my case it's just another level of awareness, so you don't have to get confused whether it's a lucid dream or astral projection, if you are getting answers for what you are looking for, it doesn't matter in what level of awareness you are in.
You don't exit when in paralysis. You exit during or after the vibrational stage or when you feel yourself being pulled up. You have to practice staying awake. It takes longer than a few minutes. May I suggest that you read some step by step guides or watch a few videos? Check out my YouTube channel The Dreaming Journal as I provide a lot of tips that have helped others become successful.
I used to have this problem. I’m cautious of saying this, because it’s extreme, but it’s honestly what I used to do... I would jump off my roof when I projected. Out the window, then jump off the roof. It was the only way I could fully realize that I was projecting (because I didn’t break my legs on impact)...
There are others signs that you’re actually asleep even though you feel like you are awake and in a well known environment.. I don’t know, my roof wasn’t that high so I felt comfortable doing it. Don’t do this if you are in a high rise or something. But along that same school of thought, there are lots of things you can do to test your “reality”...jump up and down and see if you feel different, try walking through a wall, look at a clock, look in a mirror (but that can be creepy), exit through your front door and run...(continued)
