Just saying hi

Tom You name it, I tried it and failed. But some day I will learn.

One of the things they have in common is that you generally hold still for both. This is because you want your body to go to sleep before your mind does. So you start by finding a relaxed position where you will not be disturbed and will be comfortable after your body starts to shift. Slouching. Even laying down, your body may move as the tension leaves it. The trick is to have a way to keep your mind alert enough without being too alert. Counting, math problems, visualizing things. Repeating a mantra or affirmation. There are techniques about focusing on what you see behind closed eyelids, what you hear both near and far, and the feel of your body on the surface. Robert Monroe called that state of mind awake / body asleep Focus 10. It is a good transition point to meditation, wake-induced lucid dreams, and astral projection. It is a skill and it takes...(continued)

Lucid Dreaming the Future

DH DingdongDaDio

Hello humans of the internet

This is my first post so let me know if I'm in the wrong area for this topic please

Im hoping someone here can give me some insight into lucid dreaming. First of all ill let you know a few things about myself so this story will make more sense. I am currently in my late 20s living in the Republic of Ireland. I moved to Ireland as a child from England and stayed there until the age of 17 when my family then decided to move back to England. At 20 I decided to move to the U.S where I lived until the age of 25. At 25 I decided to move back to Ireland. Anyway now that that's out the way I can talk my one and only lucid dream.

When I was about 20-21 while in America I fell asleep like any other night. There where no drugs or drink involved just a regular nights sleep. At some point while sleeping I had an experience...(continued)

Guidance please?

I’m 23, and as long as I can remember I’ve been able to lucid dream. A lot of weird, random,CRAZY stuff has happened and I’m now at a loss of what to do about it.

It’s like I’ve got a freaking sixth sense or something, and i follow my gut on everything. But in the last three years I have been having intense out of body experiences, I’ve talked to what I can only describe as ghosts or demons and there’s this woman and she holds my body through it all, whether there’s a good or bad experience and when I look at her I feel love? And safety? I wake up and it’s like I can still feel what happened while I was out of body, and sometimes it’s scary. I don’t know what any of this means or what to do. I’ve need guidance in my spirituality and all I can think is converting to a religion, but the one Im interested in is Buddhism I don’t know what I’m doing......(continued)

Sleep Paralysis Situation (I’m New Here)

Elsa Sereth White What else is there?

From my experience, sp happens at a portal that could lead to the astral. In sp I’m not astral traveling, I’m stuck paralyzed. And the beings that hover around watching me, they generate and feed off fear. Wish I knew more about them. They’re very scary but if you can manage to move you can confront them and they’ll go away. I don’t know how people are defining sleep paralysis but the sleep paralysis I know is horrifying. It is impossible to stay calm. I learned how to turn my fear into anger though, and the shadow creatures stoped coming around. But also, for the most part I leave my body instantly when I find a portal in dreams, so I don’t have the ‘trying to get out’ experience. I just feel it for like one second then float through the ceiling. In that one sec, it’s a similar feeling to sp, and obviously other beings can come...(continued)
