My story about OBEs

Hello, I'm Tim, I'm 16 years old, and I've been interested in spirituality for almost my life.

The first memory about any spiritual/religious thought happened when I was 3 years old, I remember one sentence from the Bible, which my mother read to me; "And on that day, God created the first man and woman", and I thought to myself something among the lines of "how can God suddenly make a human, shouldn't they have been different back then", I know this may seem like a thought that an Atheist would have (which I partiantly still am, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it), but this thought still pops into my head every time I recall something about religion or spirituality.

The thing that got me into the Astral thinking was a book I read in elementary, when I was 7 or 8, I think that the book was called "geluk bij een ongeluk", which translates to "luck by an accident" or "luck by bad luck", where somewhere at the end of the first chapter the main person is hit by a car and experiences an OBE, which is explained by the mother in the second or third chapter, and I read through that chapter like 10 times, because it seemed so interesting that the body actually contains a soul, althrough, I had next to no clues about spiritualism, the astral realm, chakras or anything like that, as the book doesn't explain it correctly.

After reading that book, I forgat about Spiritualism for a while, untill it was annouced that we went on a vacation with a plane, I was 11 or 12 by then, now, I was afraid of planes, and I still am (we were planning a plane trip to Greece for this summer, but I prayed to God that it would be cancelled, one way or another, and next thing you know, my mother was rushed to the hospital a few weeks afterwards, and I remember, upon hearing the news (I was doing some shopping after school, as it was the beginning of the Easter vacation.), I remember thinking to myself "God, you have answered my prayers, thank you, yes, I know that was a terrible thought, and I'm still ashamed of it), so I researched more into that OBE stuff I read about earlier, just in case I would die, and I found out about some sort Astral forum, which mostly talked about the Spiritual guides and meditation, but I was very eager to read about this, and I tried Astral projection for myself, and it failed, but I had a weird dream that night.

In the dream, I was flying about rainforest in Brazil with my grandma (I never knew her, as she died before I was born), and she was talking about something, I don't know what is was, but I understood it in the dream, but upon waking up, I was like, "What was she talking about?", I also looked into the photos of my grandma the day after, and I found out that the faces in the photos mached the one in my dream, and I've never seen these pictures before, only one picture of her, that we keep on the shelf, and her face isn't good visible in that. This is werid because the mind can only create faces in the dream if you have seen these faces in real life.

Now, after I went to high school (I was 14, I had to redo a class twice because I was "retarded", while I just had ADHD, damn doctors didn't figure that out untill I was 12), I quickly dropped the whole spiritualism, because I was forced to face a more "darker" school than the one I came from (Once again, I went a special school, where most people were either mentally disabled or had a low IQ), but I remember the first religion class.

In the class, we were forced to write a note about what we believed, and as that was still in the first week of school, I was still a Spiritualist, so I wrote down the following: "I believe that once you die, your soul goes to another dimension, where you'll either reincarnate into another person, or, if you lived a good life, you can pass on to the gates of Heaven. Just in a plane below the Heavens, the spiritual guides reside, mostly 3 or 4 reside their per person on the Earth, usually lead by one spiritual guide, the one that had incarnated the most times, and has guided people for the most times. Spiritual guides aren't allowed to physically interact with the person on Earth, as they must face their challenges on their own.", and a bit of text after that, which I can't recall that well, but the teacher (he was one of favorite teacher BTW) said that actually made more sense than most of the stuff the others wrote, because most of the notes were "I believe in God", "I believe that we evolved from apes", "ALL HAIL SATAN!" (yes, this was actually a note, probably a joke from an Atheist) or "I believe in God, but we have no solid proof of him".

After a year, me and my friend were talking (we are kinda like the "lone wolves" in the school, as most of our classmates talk about CoD 24/7, as we talk about stuff like coding, RPGs, Doctor Who, new algorithms for the Rubik's Cube, girls we like, how we hate CoD fanboys, ect), when he suddenly mentioned a dream where he left his body, and he was in full control, he also said that he could see everything in his room, his REAL room, and this creeped him out, as he never can remember dreams so clearly. This led to me telling him my dream (the one were me and my grandma flew over the rain forest), and explained him more about my spiritualism.

He quickly became interested with Spiritualism as well, and I invited him into my home for the first time (he was a shy boy, as he was 'harassed' by his "friend" a few years prior (he actually stayed 2 years with us in High School, everybody in the class hates him), so it was quite a milestone for him to come to my home, and I showed him all the videos and forum posts about OBEs, Lucid Dreaming, Auras and Chakras I have hidden deep into my computer folders, because I was scared of what people would think when they found out, they must have thinked that I was some sort of drug addict.

Well... that is all there is too it, I'm going to try to do some OBEs tonight, and I'll see if it works, sorry for the long post guys.
