Hi! I'm new to this forum

Hi, so I recently discovered this forum after realizing that google wasn't helping me much anymore in my search for answers. I started astral projecting a few months ago when I first heard about it on /x/. I would practice for hours, but my attempts were pretty fruitless. The furthest I got was the vibrational stage, but couldn't quite disconnect yet. One morning I was thinking about auras after I first woke up, and when I closed my eyes I found myself spiraling downwards uncontrollably. Suddenly I sort of flung myself from the waist up off my bed and hung there limply. I was so confused. What had just happened? Why did I fling myself off my bed? Why only from the waist up?? I looked up to see my mom enter my room, look at me, then walk out. I was seriously confused at that point. Did she not notice that I was hanging off of my bed? It was confirmation that I really was astral projecting. I gleefully started to float, but found myself stuck! I somehow did not manage to fully separate from my body and was sucked back into it.
I've always found it funny how when I read about first astral projection experience they always sound so graceful and mystical, and mine was basically flinging myself out of bed halfway. It was not graceful or mystical at all, lol.
That was only my first experience, and I've had many since. I can't control it. It always happens in the wee hours of the morning, and I can never stay out of my body for more than a few minutes. Opening my astral eyes has been a problem too. I can navigate fine blindly, but I'd really like to see my astral surroundings a bit more.

A bit of advice from more experienced travelers would be appreciated greatly!
