Hello there

Hello Folks,

I'm new here. As I am trying to retake intent on AP and searching for a place to share on the internet I came to this place and I really liked the posts and all. I'm a 37 old guy from Brazil.

For some years I've been into Lucid Dreaming and I guess I accidentally stepped into AP. At some episodes I've got the vibrations and the first time it happened it was really frightening since it looked like something was wrong with my body - it felt like I was being electrocuted. Later I had more of these and could go a little farther. It generally felt like I'm trapped (moving is hard as hell), but somehow I liked it because it was happening. One time there were really tall beings kind of "preventing me" to get up (Think about grey aliens, but really tall). I don't know if those are actual beings or something from my mind.

I've read a big part of Tom Campbell's My Big TOE some months ago and Robert Monroe's "Far Journeys" last week (I read somewhere that it was better to read this one before the first Monroe book). I have some points/questions that maybe more experienced travelers can comment on. I'll try to get right to the point:

1 - In Mr Monroe's book he recommends to lie down with head pointing north. I've tried to map my "beds" on my life and it looks like I've got more success in a east-west (or west-east) beds than on north-south ones. Does this thing make sense to everybody or it's just a ritual that worked for Monroe? Since I live in the southern hemisphere I wonder if the north thing applies just to people living at the north? (In this case I should experiment with my head facing south). I didn't ditch this thing at all because aligning to a magnetic field is a real variable.

2 - Does it make sense to get a feeling that something or someone (or maybe myself) is preventing me to explore with freedom? There are beings that show up and reveal not to be what they look like (they disguise as aliens, people I know, people I don't know). When I push them with questions or physical attacks they just turn to inanimate dolls or disabled robots. After that I feel frustration and end up at my body.

3 - I've never seen my laying body. It actually feels like when the vibrations start I'm in some in between place - not my room - just an image of it (again - it feels like I'm being denied the full stuff). It's very blurry, dark and turbulent and I just get past this phase if I exit my bedroom. The rest of the apartment is OK, but when I get out of the building, outside is no longer what it is supposed to be. It's like it starts more and more to feel like when I'm into a Lucid Dream. I've been to places where the "texture" of the reality felt better than real. But in my later episodes (feeling trapped) reality seems of a lower quality (I can't explain, but I think you guys will get it).

4 - I'm considering the place after I get the vibrations an astral projection, even though I can't see my body and it doesn't look like the physical world, it feels pretty close to it. But I think there's a possibility it's all about a Lucid Dream. Sometimes I get aware inside of a dream, and I fade right to the vibrations. I had many "false awakening" episodes (remember those dudes that pretended to be people I know? It was after a false awakening). Sometimes It feels that LD's and AP's are the same thing.

Thanks for all the good stuff here! Looking forward to be a part of this.
