Good Day everyone,
I am Amy (lamisleandra : my handle).
I am very new to Astral Projection(AP).I have been reading anything and everything about AP.
i have few questions and I want to pose them here itself in my introductory post.
hope its alright with you all (Admin:please tell me if its not OKAY)
here goes:
1. Can everyone/anyone do AP? or its for few special people??
2. Assuming I have now learnt AP, can i visit any place i.e Astral travel to any place on earth?
3. If I can AT to a desired location, will my projection see the real-time events happening in that place?
(from what i read in Robert Monroe's book, this seems plausible and true and do-able) .
I really intend to travel places thru AT.
4. I also read I can use AP for healing purposes. is this true and how can this be achieved?
5. When I do an AP, how does the place i am in, look like? just like the way I am seeing my world right now?
or cartoonish? or B&W? please elaborate on this?
6. Is chakra balancing an important part of getting an AP?
7. do we recollect everything we have seen in astral plane, after we come back to physical body?
8. is it possible to visit a past memory thru AP?

Apologies for long post and too many questions!!
hoping to learn AP and share my experiences here soon. 8)

1. anyone can have, if they are willing to learn
2. Yes you can with a little experience and control on yourself
3. Yes, sometime real time and sometimes time travel
4. It can be used to heal yourself and the people around using few methods which you can find it by digging the posts in the forum
5. Sometimes the same as you see now, but with a little blurred corners, something like you see through a bottle glass piece(I had this, but I don't think everyone has the same)
6. No, but it really helps to attain higher realms easily
7. Yup, everything
8. Yes, you can, need a lot of practice though

Santorin, I'm Here for Inner Awakening

Hello guys! I'm gonna introduce myself briefly, my name is Santo and I'm extremely interesed in obe, lucid dreaming and AP. Hope this forum and experienced members will help me with astral travel. I've already experienced with AP but like most of newbies stumbled over some hurdles which I'll discuss in related topics.

Welcome to the forum, Santorin.

lamisleandra, welcome also. I would agree with the answer of Praveen above, but would like to clarify one or two points from my point of view:

Via an OBE you can go to the real time zone in your etheric body, which is very similar to the physical world except for the odd anomaly caused by the interface of two close but different dimensions. But via AP proper, you can go the astral planes via your astral body. The astral planes are quite different from this physical world in many respects.

Chakra clearing and balancing are vital if you wish to visit the higher levels of the astral planes. Many unpleasant visits to the astral planes, some of which you can read about in past threads on this forum, are the result of not having prepared oneself spiritually. If one's spirit is not pure and is tainted with negativity of some kind - e.g. fear, jealousy, hatred, anger - then AP should not be attempted. One must be full of love and positivity for a good projection to take place.

Regarding memory of an AP, I would recommend keeping a little notebook or journal of what happened. Memory does fade with time.
