Has anyone had any experience with a pre-cognative dream? I have had two, but they were both the exact same dream.
In my dream, it's night time and I'm in my house. My parents are both wearing nothing but white, head to toe. They are moving boxes out of the house, one at a time. I watch them doing it for awhile. Then there is a large box, and as they're moving it out my father falls over a banister and down to the bottom of a steep cement stairway that leads to the outside basement door of our house. I look over and his white shirt starts to seep through with red at his chest. I turn to my mom and ask her what we should do and continue on to tell her that there must be something we can do. She has resumed moving boxes out of the house by herself. She turns to me and tells me something to the effect that there is nothing we could do to change it, or some things are out of our control...something to that effect. Then I wake up. This dream happened when I was in the fourth grade. It was lucid in feeling, although it wasn't a lucid dream with any semblance of control. I was very shaken by it as although I had a reoccurring dream every single night of my childhood with that same lucid feeling...very lifelike...I'd never had another one like it until this one.
Fast forward to the next day. I come home from school the same as always. My dad never shows up after work. It turns out he'd had a heart attack on his way home and was lucky enough to pull over (in his car) in front of a fire station. They took him to the hospital and we were contacted soon after. It was a fairly serious attack, and the fact that I had had the dream stayed with me. It was a feeling that I'd never experienced before. I literally can't describe it.
I'd never had another dream like it. Then when I was 18 I had moved out of the house and in with a friend in an apartment near my childhood home. I was alone in the apartment one night and I had the exact same dream...literally to the words we had both said, my mother and I. It was an exact copy. Everything was the same. When I woke up it was about eleven at night and I had a bad feeling but I felt silly calling and waking my parents up over a dream so I just sat up and watched a little bit of TV. Shortly after...around an hour, I got a call from my mother saying that my father had had a heart attack and wanted me to meet her as she was on her way to the hospital.
My dad is still alive and kicking after a quadruple bi-pass, and I know if I ever have that dream again I won't hesitate to call. I've told my dad about the dream, and he laughed and assured me that if I have it again he'll head straight to the emergency room. Obviously, I hope I never see that dream again.
Has anyone had anything similar happen?
